Another slow 5 miler. The hot weather has sapped my GoJo. I need a few longer runs before I taper for UVM.

Yo Marc, it's been getting warmer around here too, but not in the 80s. Yesterday it got up to 72 but by the time I ran there was a big rain cloud over head and it was pretty comfortable to run, unlike the 80+ plus stuff you've got going on. Were down to the last four weeks before UVM, better get that last really long run in this sat. or sun. so you can taper......good luck.

I'm planning on a 70 miler this week and then going into a three week taper for UVM. I think I'm about as ready as I'm gunna get this old man body to be...

So what is your goals for UVM?? If I run with Slick are you with us. Or you going for a sub 3 or something??:) I might have to run it just since your coming down.

From MarcE on Tue, May 18, 2010 at 12:43:58 from 129.188.33.25

My original plan was to go for a PR (sub 3:20), but as you can see my mileage has been lacking. Slick is probably going for sub 3:30 -- so I'll try to hang with him for as long as possible. I'll have a better idea of where I'm at after my next 20 miler. Don't run it on my account..I know you have a busy schedule. :)

That GoJo will be there tomorrow! :)

It was pretty hot and dry up here yesterday. Thank goodness the clouds rolled in and made it rain. Now it's nice and cool again. I love it!!!

Hey Marc, Since UVM is one of your stops on your family vacation, where else will youi be visiting?

From Rhett on Tue, May 18, 2010 at 18:54:41 from 74.32.222.202

Marc, you had a great race at Boston with less training than you are used to. I expect running a 3:30 at UVM will be a stroll in the park for you.

From MarcE on Wed, May 19, 2010 at 00:25:14 from 204.16.82.120

Slick - 72 is perfect running weather. I'll take it!

Teena - I got some of my GoJo back!

Dale - UVM will be the highlight of our trip. We're also going to a few other sights like the Grand Canyon, Carlsbad Caverns, and speding a few days in Yellowstone (meeting my brother and his family there), then heading back through Denver to see some friends. It'll be quite a road trip!
