good job getting out there marc - Man that is crazy heat - 82 at 7am.

Any racing plans this fall? 5K 10K?

Tim - officially I'm signed up for SGM, but I won't be going this year. It's not the cards. I signed up with a bunch of guys from work to run "The Jailbreak" - 3.4 mile mud/obstacle run in September. That's all I've officially got on my plate. Going to play it by ear. You?

that sounds fun, Marc. They have one of those around here called the Muddy Buddy. The pictures look like it is fun.

I'm doing the usual Atlanta Track Club races and then two halfs, Oct 30th and Thanksgiving. I didn't get into Chickamauga this year. It sold out in July. Crazy, but I'm excited to try something new this year.

Sorry to hear you are not going to be at St. George...did I miss a post?

From MarcE on Fri, Aug 20, 2010 at 09:31:06 from 204.16.82.120

Tim - I can't believe Chickamauga sold out so quickly-- and you were just about to be the champion! I'm sure you could petition you way in (placing 2nd last year), if you really want to get there. They always have room for elites!

Kathie - I haven't been able to put in the miles these past months. My body is telling me that I need to take a little time off from marathons. My wallet is also telling me I need to take a little time off from traveling. So, no SGM this year...and Boston is probably not looking too good either. I'm continuing to run, but will probably run close (cheap) races for a while.

Marc!!! This makes me sad to hear you won't be coming to SGM! :( It's not the same without you! But I guess you got to do what is best for you and your family.

Keep running fun K, Marc buddy!
