What a difference a few days makes. Had the calves massaged last night. Could still feel the right calf during the run, but it wasn't tight...just a little residual soreness.

First run with the new Garmin (This is my 3rd 305 -- so now I have 3 HR straps and charging cradles..I can keep one in the car, at work, and at home) Unfortunately, I only have 1 working watch.

Great news on both accounts. New watch and your calf is feeling better. Sweet. Nice tempo run with some MP miles in there.

Marc - I'm curious if you tried sending back the watch for repair. It looks like an out of warranty repair on those is $79.

Glad your calf is loosen up. Continue to do some gentle stretching and massage and hydrate...might help. Those are good looking splits with couple of sub-7 at the end. Wouldn't hurt to check the Garmin warranty. 10 days!!!

Awesome job, Mr. Speedy. How you feelin'? Ready for SGM?

From MarcE on Wed, Sep 23, 2009 at 22:47:42 from 24.155.140.8

Tim - I should probably send mine in and see if they can refurbish it for $79. It's just about 2 years old..and been used quite a bit. I got the new one for about $155 from Amazon.com.

It's funny how today's run turned from "I wonder if I'll be able to do sub-8's" to "Hmm..this feels pretty nice". The cooler weather definitely helped too!

Dale, I'm not sure if I'm ready for SGM, but I will be by 10/3!
