Ran w/ Eric at lunch. A quick 3.85 (our Moto-loop). The winds weren't as bad as yesterday's (which spread wild fires like...er...wild fire, yesterday)

Temp: 65

Wind: N 15 MPH

A week from tomorrow, I fly to Boston! So much to do, so little time!!!

I fly to Boston a week from today! I know what you mean by so much to do. I'm getting so excited but nervous too. It will be SO SO SO SO fun to see you and the gang.

Wow that is coming up fast! I can't wait to read everyone's race reports... they are more like party reports with a race thrown in.

Wish I was going...

The morning of Saturday the 18th I'll be going Canyonlands with my dad to explore some areas that we haven't been to for 20 years. We are REALLY excited. I better make sure to program my DVR to record the marathon Monday morning.

Marc, I was reading about those crazy winds and fires. I hope it doesn't affect you much.

Smooth - I'm more nervous about the weather than I am about my running. I know WE have done all the training and I really hope the weather gives us a chance to go for PRs.

Kathie - Yep, Boston is a party. I'll take lots of pictures!

Dale - Canyonlands sounds like fun. I'd like to get out there and do a little exploring myself someday. Have fun with your datd.

Rhett - The sky was very hazy from the smoke on Thursday. No fires came very close to me -- the closest was about 10 miles away. I'm on 15 acres, and we did have a fire come through my property in 1996...usually, if you keep the dry brush and grass cut short, you'll be OK. Stuff is turning green now, so the fire danger is diminishing every day. Expecting rain tonight..that will be most welcomed!

Hey Marc...Yep, Canyonlands is a special place for me and my dad. We used to go there two or three times each year for several years, but then they closed off all of our camp sites that we would frequent. Now we're re-discovering the erea. Our main focus on this trip is to visit Aztec Butte. It has some pretty cool indian ruins on top of it.
