Ran 6 easy at lunch with Eric and Darin. Right calf was still a bit sore, but I made it through all 6 miles. I won't run tomorrow, and see how it feels on Wednesday.

Marc ~ Just read about your charlie horse yesterday. I never get charlie horse in my training run only at some of the races. So, may be the reverse is true for you. You got it at a training run and it won't ever happen in a race!

Hydrate well, massage out the tight knots and soreness in your calf. Isn't your wife a MT? A rest day does more good than running on sore calf. GOOD LUCK!

Take care of that calf. I would hate to have to leave you at the first PoP or aid station.:) And I promise I will not speed up.. too much.:) Great job on getting out on a good run. Resting it is a great idea.

I am glad it didn't feel too bad I am sure rest will do you good.

Sounds like it is going to work itself out before the race. Good thing it happened 2 weeks out.

Hope the calf is behaving and settling down!!!

Smooth - gonna take your advice. Got an appointment scheduled with my massage therapist...I better get going.

Huans - thanks for the call today. Was good to talk. The calf should be fine by Oct 3rd. It's still a little sore, but if I stop talking about it, I'll probably forget about it..and find something else to complain about! :)

Kathie - Thanks!

Rhett - Yep, sure hope it's a distant memory by SGM!

Teena - it's much better today. I can still feel it, and if I had tried to run, I'm sure it would have changed my stride, or made me favor the other leg, so I didn't run. I'll give it a try tomorrow.

Tim - Yep, nothing like a hot southern wind! (It always feels like a blow dryer when it's over 80F out)
