Met Jo at 6:45 AM at work. Ran 2 warmup, then 3 Tempo (tempo with Jo is only slightly faster than average miles with Darin). It was drizzling with a slight breeze. 75F. This was 10 straight days of running for me...I was dragging at the end, maybe it is time for a rest. (Maybe I'll only do a  couple on Friday and prepare for a 20 miler on Saturday)

Your heart rate is staying low. I haven't used HR monitor this whole year. Did yours get affected by the heat and humidity?

WOW, 10 straight days w/o rest is tough. Good idea to take a rest day before the 20 miler. Hope the temp gets cooler soon for ya. NICE run with Jo!

Smooth...in the heat my HR climbs pretty quickly in just a few miles. My resting HR is about 38 bpm. 160 is pretty high for me. I think the max I've seen in a sprint uphill is still under 180. For a marathon, I like to stay in the 140-150 range for the whole thing. I'd have to slow down quite a bit to maintain that range in heat and humidity...that's why I AM SOOOO THANKFUL that most races are run in the 40-60F range! :) Thanks, Smooth.

Thanks, Kathie. Are you running the SF 1/2?

10 straight days! Heck, you might as well just keep running every day now and go for the world record of days run in a row.
