Lunchtime run w/ Darin and Dave. We weren't sure what do accomplish on this run. Took the first mile leisurely (8:20), then picked it up to about 7:40/mi. Because I didn't run yesterday, and Darin and Dave ran 800m intervals, I decided to run 2 x 800s at 6:00/mi pace, while Darin and Dave headed back. I caught Dave on the way back..he was walking. Said he thinks he pulled a calf muscle. :( I walked the last mile back to work with him, while we chatted about our plans to BQ this year. He's considering TOU....is that a good race to BQ at?

nice running Marc - you've been doing a good job throwing in the speedwork

TOU is good not as good as St. George of course. The last 1.5 miles can be hard. You run past the finish line up hill and then loop back around

thanks, Tim...I finished my 10-miler today with a 6:17 -- I think I want to get fast, and not sure I want to run races longer than 13 miles anymore.

Kathie - thanks for the info. How would you compare it to UVM? I wish SGM and UVM had the flat long parts at the beginning, and TEHN the nice controlled falls down the canyons to finish! :)

I have not run UVM so I can't help you there. Slick has ran them both you should ask him.
