I showed up about an hour early for a club 5K run in Grapevine. During the 3 mile warmup, my HR monitor was all over the map. Not knowing what to believe, I took it off for the race. My plan was to run the 5K at about 20:30, but I felt fatigued from the start, and ran a 21:33. I think this was my slowest 5K in a few years. I guess it was just one of those days. Followed the race with a 2.5 mile cool-down. Maybe all the biking (and karate Thursday night) impacted my running? Or maybe the humidity? Or maybe it was just one of those days. :)
