Finally! The wind was below 10 MPH! I forgot what it was like to not have lean forward so much while running.

Darin and I ran a quick 6 at lunch:

Splits:7:19, 7:20,7:27,7:25,7:36,6:47

HR: ***, 146,146,145,152,161,165

My MP is 7:38/mi (3:20:00)-- I need to get to the point where 7:20-7:30 pace is my normal tempo run pace. The run today felt pretty good. I pushed the HR a little high on the last 2 miles (they were into a 9 MPH headwind).

Not sure what Saturday holds for me. I need a 13.1 mile MP run either Saturday or Sunday (There is a race in Dallas on Sunday - Big-D Half Marathon, but I'm not sure if I feel like spending $70 + gas to go run it....decisions, decisions...that's a couple Boston t-shirts I could be buying :-)

Nice running, looking good for Boston. I had the same issue myself about a HM this weekend, but our weather (SNOW STORM) finalized my plans (no race).

Good luck with the taper.

Thanks, jtshad. Bummer about the snow storm. That's the problem with my procrastination -- if I had signed up months ago, it would be a no brainer, I'd go and run it. But, I put signing up...until now...I could be persuaded to go run it if I knew a few other people who would be there. I'll just run my MP 13.1 on Saturday, then I'll be too tired to even think about racing on Sunday...ok, my mind's made up. No race (save the $$).

Nice run and pace. I vote for saving the $$ and do a time trial tomorrow.

Have fun on your 13.1 miler. I'll post a report after my race.

Marc I think it is wise to save the money...and then spend it in Boston, you could buy a lot of hot dogs at the game with that money.

Way to take advantage of the wind stopping. Nice tempo run.

From Teena on Sat, Apr 04, 2009 at 21:06:30 from 67.177.20.13

Nice run there Marc!!

So ... what did you decide? Did you run a half today? Are you running a half tomorrow? Are you heading to Texas? What's up???

Fun to check in and see that you are running some crazy speed!! :)

Hope you are having a GREAT weekend!

Hi Teena! I decided to save my $$ and just go out and attempt a long run on my own. Glad to hear from you!!!
