DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME - SPRING FORWARD

Today was a gorgeous day. The wind was barely noticeable. I was going to run 12-14 today, but ran out of daylight.. I had my wife drop me off 8 miles from home, with about one hour of daylight. My Garmin wasn't charged, so I'm guessing I averaged about 8:00/mi, with a few of the miles in the low 7:00s. It was a great run with lots of rolling hills..thoughts of Boston!

Great job, Marc. That's a good trick having your wife drop you off away from home. I should try that.

So were you thinking about the first half of Boston when you were having fun or the second half where you were hitting the wall? Nice run.

Dale, we were actually on our way home from church (yes, I went to a "small group" meeting in my running clothes) If we had left sooner I would have had her drop me off further from home..I don't feel safe running on the country roads where I live after dark. Too many critters and scary drivers out there.

Rhett..I guess I was thinking of the first 15 miles of Boston, when I was on cruise control..not the last 8 or so when the cramps kicked in and I went into survival mode? I've come to like a few ups and downs in marathons. I'm really looking forward to taking it nice and easy for the first half at Boston this year.

Yes, Kathie, hills are our friends! :-) (my mantra while climbing them)

Thanks, Smooth.
