Another gorgeous day! 60F, S wind at about 20 MPH, sunny.

Ran w/ Darin. Only had time for 5 miles, as I needed to hurry back for a Stress Management class.

Took it fairly easy today...a tempo-ish run.

Just noticing my yearly miles total is pretty low. I'm barely over 300 miles. That's not a whole lot of miles considering I've logged 2 runs of 26.2 miles in Jan and Feb. I see Smooth is over 700!!!! Way to go, Smooth! I'll never catch you :)

Nice run, can you believe the miles Smooth has put in!

From Smooth on Tue, Mar 23, 2010 at 17:33:48 from 174.23.198.220

:) Marc!!! You're funny! *I* will NEVER catch *YOU*!!! Speedstar like you don't need to pile up the miles! And whoever can say tempo-ish run is EASY!

AWESOME lunch run! We need to meet Darin one of these days! :)

Smooth is in a league of her own!!! :)

Nice job on the run!

How was the stress management class?

From Andy on Tue, Mar 23, 2010 at 19:28:44 from 198.60.114.178

Why do you need a class? Running is the best stress management there is. I thought it was funny that you were stressed to get back in time for your stress management class.

From MarcE on Tue, Mar 23, 2010 at 21:10:17 from 204.16.82.112

The Stress Class was Ok. I think I handle stress fairly well -- unfortunately, some of my biggest stress is related to running -- it is a little ironic. In the week leading up to a big race, I'm usually very stressed out...I need to relax and enjoy myself more.

Andy, yes it was kind of funny. And all the time I was sitting in the class, I kept thinking about all the work I had to do back at my desk! :)

My work's health insurance plan gives you "points" for "healthy activiites", and this was worth a few points -- if you get enough points you get some money back..to help pay for your insurance. (like a good patient discount or something)

I'm pretty sure I've got the fewest miles by far of any of my friends on this blog. I'm surrounded by overachievers! :)

Overachievers unite!

Smooth - Darin was at Boston 2007, but did his own thing. I can't remember if he was ever around to meet my Utah buddies or not...I guess not. He plans to go back to Boston when his son (now 16 -- and has a 1:32 marathon PR) qualifies. So, it shouldn't be but another year or two and you'll meet him in Boston -- or you're always welcome to visit Ft Worth for one of our many winter races. :)

Sooo funny stressing over the stress management class! :) Can't wait to meet Darin one of these days. Those TX races are becoming more tempting. Hey, did you know that the Olympic Trials for both the men and women are going to be held the day before the Houston Marathon in 2012? I think it's so cool!

From DonGardinero on Wed, Mar 24, 2010 at 01:28:55 from 75.162.167.197

Hey, don't feel bad about your yearly miles...I'm not even close to you. I only have 151 miles for the year. Smoothie is definitely in a league of her own.

From MarcE on Wed, Mar 24, 2010 at 09:26:01 from 206.225.68.119

Smooth -- If I'm still running marathons in 2012, I'll definitely have to try to get into Houston and check out the Olympic Trials.

DoG - thanks for making me feel better. We both need to start logging more miles...I guess. Or not..I'm sure marathons would be easier and faster with more mileage base, but I'm not driven enough at the moment to step it up to the next level. :)

From Huans32 on Wed, Mar 24, 2010 at 09:47:36 from 138.64.8.52

LOL stress management class. LOL were you giving the class? All you would have to do is talk about running and excercise. Dont worry about the mileage. You were in recovery mode for a while there.

From MrsFIT on Wed, Mar 24, 2010 at 13:57:40 from 205.127.241.18

300 miles is a lot for us mortals. Besides, mileage can mean different things depending on what your training for :)

From MarcE on Wed, Mar 24, 2010 at 14:41:08 from 206.225.68.121

Huans32 - thanks for he reminder. I did take a little time off there for a week or so. It's all good.

Kristi - Yep, you're right. Thanks! :)
