After 3 days of rest, I went for a 6 miler on the rail trail. This is the first run in the VFFs on the trail. It felt really good. The weather was beautiful -- 70F, light breeze.

Most of the miles were between 7:40 and 8:00, but decided to try to go sub 7:00 on the last mile. Ended with a 6:36 (I've decided that I have no concept of speed anymore).

Signing up for UVM. Will be bringing my family out west for a little summer vacation -- with one of our stops being the UVM in June. Can't wait to see a bunch of my Utahn running buddies, again.

Nice VFF run, and hope to see you at UVM.

It's those VFF shoes. They just make you faster than you even realized. Cool that you are running UVM. Maybe if I don't get drawn for SGM, I'll have to consider doing that one.

Does UVM fill up usually or can I get in last minute?

From MarcE on Tue, Mar 16, 2010 at 15:00:28 from 136.182.2.26

Well, I signed up for UVM -- I'm on the list!! Now, I have to start running long again..:)

I don't know if UVM fills up -- it was less than $60 (price goes up at some point -- you get a $5 discount for being a Boston Qualifier, and if you BQ at UVM, you get a special shirt. I'll be shooting for my 3:30!!!
