Woohooo! 3 days of running in a row. Got a late start this morning...out the door at 7:20AM for a solo 6 miler. It was already about 80F -- but I'm not complaining. (according to my Aug 2009 Runners World, I can expect to lose 20-30 seconds per mile for every 5 degrees above 60. So, I figure my 8:00/mi workouts will become 6:00/mi workouts when the temp gets down to about 60..got that going for me!)

6 miles -- good hills in the middle.

AP: 8:05

Round 2 - because I worked from home today, I had a little extra time after work (I didn't have to commute the 37 miles..each way), so I did another 2.5 miles of hills before dinner. It's funny, it was 92 degrees (about 10 degrees warmer than this morning) but I felt a lot less sluggish, and enjoyed it more..was still humid (the puddle at the dinner table can attest to that...I know TMI, and I should have showered first..also, not to self, get more running clothes so you don't have to dig sweaty ones out of the laundry when you decide to run more than 3 times in one week!!!)

LOVE that positive thinking...8 mm at 82 = 6 mm at 60. GOOD JOB getting out early and mix in hills too. How ARE the hills at Springtown?

I guess I should just run inside with the air conditioning set for really low. :)

Marc..nice job. I can't believe you can run in that heat. It really kills me. That is why I do a lot of miles on the treadmill.

Tic Tac Toe three in a row!

So how much deep dish pizza do you still need to run off, or have you already made it disappear?

From MarcE on Thu, Aug 20, 2009 at 22:03:03 from 24.155.140.8

Kathie - that's funny! I'm pretty sure I ran it all off, but I can't figure out how all of my pants shrunk around the waste--all at the same time. It's baffling!

From MarcE on Thu, Aug 20, 2009 at 22:17:12 from 24.155.140.8

Waist or Waste, whatever! :)

From Kimmy on Fri, Aug 21, 2009 at 10:32:32 from 71.38.229.92

My husband always tells me I have been washing his pants in Hot to shrink his pants. :)

From Kathie on Fri, Aug 21, 2009 at 13:04:57 from 207.155.176.10

With all your race shirt you should have plenty of running clothes, or did they shrink too!

From Rhett on Fri, Aug 21, 2009 at 13:05:13 from 74.32.218.69

Good luck with that whole 2 minutes faster thing. :)

From MarcE on Sat, Aug 22, 2009 at 14:43:32 from 24.155.140.8

:)

Kathie..it's not shirts, I'm short on shorts -- hmm..there's an idea, races should start giving away shorts instead of shirts..I think we're onto something.

Rhett -- yep, If I can manage 8:00 miles when it is 100, I figure that's good for 4:00 miles when it's 60...something's not quite right with that logic.
