Ran w/ Darin..until the last 2 miles when I had trouble keeping up, so I let him go on without me. I'll get my speed back!

60 F, 20 MPH S wind, sunny (a little warm for my long-sleeved SGM '09 shirt, but I wore it anyways)

Nice run, Nice shirt!

Has Darin run Boston before? Was he jealous of your SGM shirt? ;)

NICE miles and pace! Sounds like the calf is all better now!?!

Kathie - yes, I worked hard for that shirt!

Smooth - yes, Darin ran Boston 2008. He didn't hang out with us much. He stayed with his son and some friends who live there. The calf is mostly better. I'm still being cautious. Thursday's 7 miler was my longest run since SGM...I've got a 10K on Thanksgiving, and then a 1/2 marathon on Dec 13th. A wee bit nervous about both...

SO GLAD to hear the calf is mostly better. Take it easy on the upcoming T-day 10K and White Rock Dallas Half. You know what to do...run them as training runs...but then again, if the calf feels right; then go for it! Can't wait to hear how it goes for ya. GOOD LUCK!

Man, the paces you run....I would have a hard time keeping up!

From Rhett on Fri, Nov 20, 2009 at 12:18:21 from 74.42.168.210

So do you ever run any recovery miles anymore? Seems like all your runs are in the 7s lately.

From Huans32 on Fri, Nov 20, 2009 at 13:46:48 from 138.64.2.76

Great job on the run. Sorry your not feeling speedy again. Sure looks it to me.:) You will do great at the 10k and half too. Good job getting out.

From MarcE on Fri, Nov 20, 2009 at 19:41:06 from 206.225.68.25

Kelli - it's funny how when the weather gets cooler, I just expect to run sub 8:00s all the time. It's more of a chore when its 90 out. I have a feeling I'd have a hard time keeping up with you in a race!

Rhett - thanks for the reminder. We started out saying "let's go slow" (as we always do), and we're running along feeling good, and before you know it..off we go. Conversation ceases, and we kick it up a notch. :) I DO NEED TO GO SLOW SOMETIMES.

Thanks, Mark-O -- just trying to get the speed back without the cramping issue.
