Ran w/ Darin and Mike before work. Ran 5.5, then walked for another .7 (there's only one shower at work, and the slowest guy goes last...so I walked for a while)

Achilles felt OK. Not great, but OK.

Your an animal Marc. Be careful not to aggrivate that achillies....

Nice miles Marc. What can we do to get that thing healed up? It has been an issue for a few years now hasn't it?

From Smooth on Tue, Aug 17, 2010 at 13:45:12 from 174.23.203.161

NICE 10K all before work! Isn't it nice to get some endorphine fix but no stress of training though? Hope you get that achilles figure out!

Marc ~

Just wondering, do you run with lifts in your shoes? If not, you might want to consider it until that achilles heals up. Just an idea. (I know it is only one of them ... but you want to keep things balanced.)

Teena - what's a "lift"? (I guess I don't have them. Are they orthotics?)

From Teena Marie on Wed, Aug 18, 2010 at 17:14:28 from 174.52.45.85

It is a little insert that you put in your shoe (under the liner) where your heel sits.

They are inexpensive and I'd bet most physical therapy or podiatrist's offices in your area would have them.

In the clinic we often have patients with injured calf muscles use them to alleviate some of the strain on those muscles.
