Ran a quick 3.85 mile loop after work w/ Eric. The rain let up, and it was about 40 degrees and a slight breeze. Not bad weather.

Eric took off quick today. I stuck with him for about 2 miles then he inched his way away from me. I wasn't feeling like pushing it too much today.

AP: 7:08  (Eric finished w/ 6:59...I knew he was going for sub 7:00, I just couldn't hang w/ him today. I'll get him next time :-)

Marc - can you keep that rain for a couple extra days? We are having an outside party for my birthday girl (Quincy - 5) on Saturday and it supposed to 50 and rainy... :(

Oh - and great run! It is nice you have so many running buddies down there.

OK I could never end at 3.85 I would have to run until I hit an even 4.0...maybe I do have ocd?

Marc,

I've been the same way lately, about pushing my pace. all week long I ran at the same pace. What good is that? I'll never get faster that way.

Hey Tim, the rain is moving out tomorrow. Time for some nice days of sunshine, so the flowers will bloom, and I can plant my veggie garden! Happy B-Day to Quincy!

Yes, Kathie, you might be a little OCD. :-) I could have easily called it 4.00 miles (and included the walk out to the parking lot and back into work, as an easy 0.15 miles, but I never count my walking distance in my mileage..hmmm, maybe I should???

Your right, DoG. You need to throw in 1 or 2 days a week for some type of speed work if you want to get faster. But, I'm not so sure it helps a real lot in a marathon -- it would help your 5K and 10K times for sure. Long miles and some speed work will improve your V02 max, which will allow you to run faster for longer...there's books on this stuff (don't trust me :-)

TEENA!!! Thanks for popping in..we all miss you!!!
