It's true, they do grow up so fast. I'm taking a vacation day today (using up my "use of lose" days from 2009). Got a few odd jobs around the house, and am going to Ethan's school for cupcakes at lunchtime.

Probably going to be a rest (no run) day..

Smooth - This is what I WAS thinking (there's a good chance that I won't be going to Waco afterall - Ty has been sick lately, and not sure if he'll be up for it on Sunday). But, if I do both the plan would be to take the half on Saturday nice and easy (about 10-15 minutes slower than my race last Saturday). Then on Sunday go for a match of my time when I ran it back in 2007 (I ran a 3:30 in Oct 2007 only 3 weeks after BQing at SGM). Would be good to run a 3:30 -- BQ for 2011...but, it is supposed to be in the upper 20's on Sat and Sunday mornings, so I don't know what that will do for the plans. (I'm a fair-weather runner...I don't do cold! :)

Sounds like a good plan. Upper 20's, no wind will be PERFECT. The Sat. run will have you prepped for it. Drink something warm, wear layers or that awesome neon green vest should do. I am SOOOO EXCITED for you. Sorry about Ty. Who knows, he may be feeling all better by Sunday. Either way, have a GREAT Goofy run!!!

Smooth - thanks for the advice. Will do! (If Ty doesn't go, I'll save the $$ and just run a long run later in the day..after it warms up a bit..didn't I tell you? I'm a wimp.)

RP - Thanks for thinking of me. Houston is about 5 hours away from me (kind of like SLC to SG..same state, but not very close) I'm located close to Ft Worth (a lot more inland and north)
