Got in 20 miles in about 3.5 hours of running at the Relay for Life in Weatherford, TX.

I was about the only one running on the track...which was full of people celebrating life with or after cancer. All the time I was running, weaving in and out of all the people dancing, walking, sitting,...I kept thinking that I'm very fortunate to have the ability to run. I also kept thinking that I was crashing someone else's party. It was a different experience...one I probably won't repeat next year.

I managed to clock a few sub 7:30 miles. The event was from 6PM to 6AM -- after my entire team left before midnight, there wasn't much motivation for me. I quit after 20 miles, packed up my tent and stuff, and drove home. It's always fun to try new things..I tried it. :)

20 miles for a great cause, good on you!

Add them to your pile of miles and get it on down the road. Knock on wood and say your prayers and be thankful for your health....If you don't have it, you don't have anything.

Slick says it all!

CONGRATS on running this good cause! You deserve a medal for being the ONLY one running.

Hope you have a GREAT weekend and WONDERFUL birthday celebration with Beth and kids!

You are all too kind. Time to kick back relax, have a steak and a quiet evening at home with a few close friends...

Good for you for trying something new. I guess I don't have to run 39 miles on my B-day now. Thanks.
