Cross-trained today. 24 miles on my comfort bike (cushy seat, fat tires, 21 speeds) on the trail. It was 95 degrees when I started and 90 when I finished. Filled my 72 oz camel back with ice and water. It was actually not bad at all. Riding a bike in 95 degrees is much, much, much easier and enjoyable than running in 95 degrees.

Achilles is feeling much better after 3 days of no running. Going to give it the rest of the week off. Will cross train a bit this week, and see how El Scorcho goes on Saturday night.

It took about 1:55 to do 24 miles. I'm going to call that the equivalent of running about 7 miles.

So it probabaly would have taken another 10 minutes to do 26.2. That's how fast the world ellite runners do that distance. Kind of mind blowing isn't it?
