The Mayfest Run (5K and10K) that was scheduled for tomorrow, has been cancelled - due to the Swine Flu scare (can u believe that??). I guess they're leaning way toward the side of caution. Oh well...my boys have baseball and soccer games in the morning anyways, so I wasn't going to be able to run. But, thought I'd record it for posterity's sake.

I am not sure how to take the swine flu deal. All I know is I washed my hands really good at the movie theater last night and I used a paper towel to open the door. I also use a ton of disinfectant at the gym! But I don't think I will lock my self away and not go any where.

Kathie - It's probably a good habit to have and teach the kids..even if they never come across swine flu, there's lots of other germs out there!!! I should have bought stock in hand sanitizer! :-)

Kelli - Thanks!

Marc,

How did the baseball and soccer games go??

Every single one of my kids' games got canceled due to rain!!

Don't they know runners like you are too fast for the piggy flu to catch you? LOL

Hope you had fun with your boys' soccer and baseball.

Teena, they canceled the games??? As long as there is not lightening, the games go on! We had all of ours. I wish they had been canceled!

The baseball game was going pretty well. I think Ethan's team was ahead when we had to leave, to get to the soccer game. Ethan's 6 and it's his first year of baseball -- he wants to quit because he can't seem to get a hit in any of the games. Today he made good contact with the ball, and got thrown out at first. But, I think it might have sparked a little confidence in him to stick with it.

Both my boys are on the same soccer team. Today was the last day of their Spring season. I think they tied. It was fun. It rained quite a bit around here today -- but we got in the games, and I got the yard mowed, and planted some flowers and veggies between downpours.
