Great job on the speedwork. Did you just run a marathon too?? Its got to be nice to have some other people to do your runs with out there. Are they as speed as you are on the track??

From RivertonPaul on Tue, Jun 16, 2009 at 11:11:50 from 67.42.27.114

Way to get back at it. Hopefully we can see each other at St. George.

From MrsFIT on Tue, Jun 16, 2009 at 11:18:16 from 24.2.68.35

WOW, those are some fast 600's!! I'm not sure if I've asked this before but how many years have you been running - you know, so I know how much longer it will be before I become WICKED FAST like you!!

From Kathie on Tue, Jun 16, 2009 at 12:59:17 from 207.155.176.10

Wow you are fast Marc. You need to find a track night like Tim goes to.

From DonGardinero on Tue, Jun 16, 2009 at 13:59:41 from 75.162.100.70

Great job, Marc. By the way, what is the date of the El Scorcho 50k in July?

From Kelli on Tue, Jun 16, 2009 at 15:57:23 from 71.219.76.64

FAST

From Smooth on Tue, Jun 16, 2009 at 16:19:03 from 71.36.79.7

AWESOME speedwork!

From Teena on Tue, Jun 16, 2009 at 16:38:51 from 67.177.20.13

Very cool!

(Except for Jo's knee. Hope it'll behave for her next time.)

MarkO - That marathon was a long time ago, it's been over a week! :-) Yes, it is nice having friends to run with...unfortunately, none of them are training for a marathon, so my long runs are still pretty lonely. We're fairly well matched...Sergio kicked it up a notch today (he had on track spikes).

Hey RP - hope to see you before and after at SGM (as long as you're still hanging around after the finish when we mosey in at around a 3:15 (hopefully you will have been done for about 20 minutes by then)

MrsFIT - Speed is all relative. I used to run 800s in highschool in about the same time I was running 600s today (that was 25+ years ago..all things considered, I guess I've still got some speed). I've been running for about 10 years now (since taking a long, lazy break between ages 24 and 34) I'm not so sure I'm getting any faster...my endurance has increase a lot more than my speed. You're still young, and work at it a lot harder than I do..you'll keep getting faster for several years!

Kathie - I might just find a track night. It'll be quite humbling, I'm sure.

Dale - Hmmm...I better look up El Scorcho. July 19th at Midnight. You should come out and run it. It's very boring...so if you were in town to see your sister, perhaps then it might be worth the trip. 50K at midnight -- 10 x 5K loops on a mostly flat paved trail in a park in the middle of Ft Worth. I signed up for it a while back, so now I have to run it!:)

Kelli - kind of fast. I'm not even sure what it equates to per mile. Somewhere between 5:30 and 5:45 per mile. I wish I could keep that up for a full mile.

Smooth and Teean - I'm just trying to keep up with you dynamos!

Great speedwork Marc! It feels good to let it rip once a week, doesn't it?

From Rhett on Wed, Jun 17, 2009 at 16:32:01 from 170.215.58.122

Wow, already back at the track so soon. You are a machine! How many races between now and SGM?

From MarcE on Thu, Jun 18, 2009 at 10:09:19 from 136.182.2.25

Tim - yep, nice to let it rip once in a while!

Rhett - the only thing I have signed up for, so far, is the El Scorcho 50K (and I only did that because the longer you wait the higher the price). I'll try to run it at about an 8:30/mi pace this year.
